Koto Japanese Restaurant

Disappointing!!! waited for so long and most of our orders didn't came out. Staff is so rude and no proper customer service.

great service and food

It's hard to find a good Japanese Restaurant on Vancouver Island. Moving from Vancouver, I tried almost every Japanese Restaurants in Victoria, including Toji, the most disappointed chinese operated restaurant. Sen Japanese Restaurant was the best until I ate in Koto. It is a real Japanese Restaurant running by Japanese. He uses fresh local supplies and creates his own signature sushi. His sushi/sashimi is comparable to top Japanese Restaurants in Tokyo. If I am not living in Victoria, I will go there everyday. Since Koto is a family business, it takes awhile to wait for your order in a busy night. But I think it still worths the wait.

I have found the quality of the fish to be excellent, very fresh. The atmosphere and service is good and the menu is limited and specialized (this is a good thing). However, I have found the tempura is better at Wasabiya. The prices are fair given the quality of the food.

SOOOOOOOOO good but on a busy night expect to wait a long time for your food.

Having had a dissapointing 300 dollar meal at Tojo's in Vancouver which is supposed to be the best sushi/japanese restaurant in the world...I figured my quest for the ultimate sushi had come to an end..that is until I went to Koto restaurant in Campbell River, BC.

The food here is amazing and the owners are friendly and warm.

TOJOS on the other hand. Over priced and the food sucked. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
