Shot in the Dark Cafe

Staff is fantastic, always make you feel at home and put a smile on your face.
The food is great. Sandwiches are HUGE with fresh, in house roasted meats and locally baked bread. The soups and specials are always creative and delicious.
My favourite spot to for lunch, bar none

really the first place I stop when ever I visit my mom in campbell river the guys there are so nice and always make me feel at home, I always recommend it to my friends and have never had a complaint )

Very creative specials and soups, the talents of the chef amaze me, staff are very courteous, the place does get really busy at lunch and it can be a bit hard to find a place to sit, but the food is excellent especially the curries

I just happened to stop into this restaurant while looking to buy a house, it is right beside the re-max and I could smell an extraordinary smell coming from their kitchen, the chef had prepared a delicious Thai Chicken soup, that was probably the best damn soup I've ever eaten, I kid you not it was Really Great!

I will never ever set foot in this place again!
Heard all the raves about the place so went in for a bowl of soup one day, for the first time. The dark haired owner served me cold soup. I asked him if he could heat up the soup and bring some some water, please. He started yelling that it was the same thing

Wow.. sure wish I experienced the service that some of the people on here have mentioned. Every time I've been in there the men behind the counter are miserable. Not just

I don't know that what the last reviewer experiences are in life but a tea bag in a glass, and canned pop are hardly things to complain about and that your only goal is promote your own agenda, the agenda of an absolute idiot, perhaps they don't serve salad with the Lasagna how much food do you need to eat, are you a pig, and what do you mean your bread was upside down, lol. maybe you shouldn't eat out period, since you are obviously of a poor mental state.

We thought we'd give this place a try after reading the other reviews here...

1. My lemon ice tea had no lemon and the tea bag was left in the glass...
2. My bread was really burnt and instead of toasting new bread they turned it upside down and they tried to conceal it with dressing...
3. The lasagna came with no salad... apparently the salad ran out...but they did have lettuce and tomatoes for their sandwiches.... WTF!!!
4. We ordered a root beer and was handed with only the can with no glass to pour into.
5. we had to ask for our knives and forks after the food arrived, twice...

It's not often that a restaurant can get us angry by its poor quality... but this place really did a GREAT job. We will never go here again and will make sure none of our friends do either..

This Place has really good food, and an interesting dynamic, the owners fight and bicker in front of the whole resturaunt, reminds me of hells kitchen, I really get a kick out of the guys there. So if your looking for extraordinary food and a high entertainment value, this is the place for you!

Nice Cafe, they have a really Gorgeous place, My kids loved the place, and the chef is amazing, I had a shrimp soup there that knocked my socks off, I am not kidding!

I Recently enjoyed a wonderful meal at shot in the dark, I had the Cr Club, seeing how I was in CR, seemed the appropriate thing to do. This Sandwich was Delicious, and Packed With Real Wholesome Ingredients, and did I say Huge. Very Impressive

o the people who run A Shot in the Dark who made my first experience there a great one! The food is unbelievable, but what really topped it off was the customer service. The people there were the most friendly people that I have encountered for a long time. This caf is an excellent choice for breakfast or lunch, and I would recommend it to anyone. - Thoroughly Pleased

I have allways heard good things about this place finaly we did try it based on recommandation of our hotel in CR.
what we found is really a cafe that campbell river needs, food, looks and decor it is really nice sandwiches rubbin was the best sandwich my wife had in a long time
